Kickass Design Co. is a Houston-based web design and local SEO studio helping service businesses get found, get chosen, and grow. We are not a generic website shop. We build websites for one purpose: to rank in local search and turn that visibility into real customers.
Every project begins with thorough research and analysis of your market, your competitors, and the search behavior of the people you want to reach. I'm Hector Ramirez, founder of Kickass Design Co. For nearly ten years, I have been building websites and ranking local businesses on Google.
I started Kickass Design Co. because I saw too many local business owners paying for websites that looked fine but did nothing. Beautiful homepages, polished portfolios, all the bells and whistles, but zero phone calls. I wanted to build something different. A studio that treats websites as lead-generation tools first, and works alongside business owners to grow their visibility month after month.
My approach is built on research. Before I write a single line of copy or sketch a single layout, I study the market, analyze what competitors are doing well and poorly, and map out exactly what the Google algorithm is rewarding in that industry and geography. Every decision I make, is made with the goal of ranking and converting. Not just launching.
I also believe deeply in transparency and ownership. I have seen too many small business owners lose access to their own websites because a previous webmaster vanished or held the login hostage. That will never happen with me. Every client I work with owns their website outright, with full access from day one. I am here to be a long-term partner in your growth, not a gatekeeper.
